01Public profile

Born in Lucknow in 1966 and trained as a geologist, Kirtivardhan Singh is an agriculturist from Mankapur in Gonda district. He first entered the Lok Sabha in 1998. Since 11 June 2024 he has served as Minister of State in the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change and in the Ministry of External Affairs.

The parliamentary record

Elected from Gonda in 1998, 2004, 2014, 2019 and 2024. As a member he raised constituency matters on roads, railways, electrification, sugarcane arrears and irrigation, and served on the environment standing committee in three Lok Sabhas. As a minister he now answers questions for the Government in both Houses.

As Minister of State in MoEFCC and Vice-Chairperson of the National Tiger Conservation Authority, he has delivered India's statements at COP29, CBD COP16 and UNEA-7. He led India's delegation to the IUCN World Conservation Congress and answers for the Ministry in Parliament.
